Terms of use

Who we are

meteostack.com (“MeteoStack”, “we”) is operated by Ahmed Ben. Questions about these terms: contact@meteostack.com. By using the site and its services you accept these terms.

Forecasts are guidance, not guarantees

Weather forecasts are uncertain by nature. MeteoStack displays raw output of numerical weather models and statistics computed from them. It is not an official warning service. For safety-critical decisions (aviation, marine, mountain, severe weather) always consult your national meteorological service and official warnings.

Use of the site

  • No scraping that bypasses rate limits, and no attempts to disrupt the service.

Studio videos

Videos you make with Studio are yours to publish anywhere, including on commercial channels. Keep the forecast credit line at the end of the video: it is how the weather services that provide the data are attributed. If you edit the forecast content, do not present the result as an official forecast. We never receive your videos, handle or logo.

Data licences

  • Model maps: ECMWF (CC BY 4.0), NOAA GFS (public domain), Deutscher Wetterdienst ICON (CC BY 4.0) and Environment and Climate Change Canada GEM (Open Government Licence, Canada).
  • Point forecasts: national weather services through Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0).
  • Place names © GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). Borders and coastlines: Natural Earth (public domain) and, for some regions, geoBoundaries / OpenStreetMap (ODbL).

Liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, MeteoStack and Ahmed Ben are not liable for losses arising from the use of forecasts, maps, videos or the API.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.
