Asia weather model maps
Forecast maps for Asia from five global weather models at once. Pan anywhere, or tap a place to see every model’s numbers.
Model runs on the map: ECMWF IFS 12 Oct 00z · ECMWF AIFS 12 Oct 00z · NOAA GFS 12 Oct 06z · DWD ICON 12 Oct 00z · CMC GEM 12 Oct 00z UTC
How to read the model maps
01One sky, several opinions
Each panel is one weather model. All panels share the same place, zoom and time, so any difference you see is a real disagreement between the models.
02The agreement map
Turn on “Agreement” to add a panel computed from the selected models. On the rain layer it shows the share of models that predict rain; on the other layers it shows how far apart they are.
03Tap anywhere
Tap or click a spot to read every model’s temperature, rain, wind and cloud cover there, then open the full multi-model forecast for that exact point.

Questions about the model maps
Which weather models are on the maps?
ECMWF IFS (the “European model”), ECMWF AIFS (its AI model), NOAA GFS (the “American model”), DWD ICON (the German model) and Environment Canada’s GEM. All five are global models, updated at least twice a day.
How often are the maps updated?
MeteoStack checks for new model runs every hour and publishes each run as soon as it is complete, usually 4 to 8 hours after the run time (00z and 12z for ECMWF, ICON and GEM; every 6 hours for GFS).
How is the thunderstorm symbol calculated?
A lightning bolt appears where a model forecasts showers together with enough atmospheric instability (CAPE) to support thunderstorms. For ICON its own thunderstorm weather code is used too. It shows where storms are possible; it is not a lightning forecast. See the methodology.
Why do the models show different weather?
Each model starts from slightly different observations and uses different physics and resolution. Small differences grow over time, which is why the maps usually agree for tomorrow and often diverge after 4 to 6 days.
Are the maps free?
Yes, completely. Up to 6 maps side by side, fullscreen included, free for everyone.
